2020 Fourth Of July Activities!
There is no doubt that this 4th of July may be a little different than others in the past. However there are still plenty of ways to celebrate safely with family. Time to start baking some patriotic treats. You can't celebrate America's birthday without decorating a patriotic cake or red, white and blue treats! Your whole family can join in on the decorating!
Head to the backyard where there is countless fun to be had. No pool?… No worries set up a sprinkler for the kids to run around in, a slip-and-slide or water balloons. Have a jam-out session! In our house we have dance parties nightly, my kids are big fans of it! Here are some patriotic tunes you want to be sure to add to your playlist this 4th of July. Hot dogs, hamburgers OH- MY... they are absolutely essential staples to kick off with. Indulge in some All-American foods your whole family will keep coming back for more.
Perhaps set up an arts and crafts area, check out the star craft in the previous blog post. Make your very own home Olympics, by choosing activities based on the age ranges of those participating. Pitch a tent in your own backyard, bbq around the campfire and tell spooky stories. Bring the movie theater to your backyard HERE, set up some cozy seating and don't forget no movie is complete without popcorn and M&M's. With fireworks being cancelled in our area, light it up with some sparklers! You can’t have a 4th of July without s'mores over a campfire! If s'mores aren't your thing, we got you covered with homemade ice cream sandwiches.
If you're interested in getting out of the house for the 4th of July, our very own Summit community has a fun schedule planned out. Note the fireworks have been cancelled due to the pandemic.
